Weekly Meal Plan (vol 5)

I haven’t posted one of these in over a month! I have a terrible habit of not cooking right before and after trips. After my Europe trip, it took me quite a while to get the motivation to stop moping around and getting back to real life. I admit it feels good to be back in the kitchen.


No cooking! Friends from out of town visited this weekend. We stuffed our face with barbecue and Chinese food.


Baked Shrimp & Artichokes, salad

I just made this a few hours ago and Alan and I both loved how it turned out. I followed the recipe as is except I added in grape tomatoes, only used 2 table spoons butter instead of a half cup. I made up the difference in olive oil. I also added a splash of white wine to the sauce. I garnished with pancetta and asparagus.


Roasted Salmon with Shallots and Grapefruit Sauce, salad

I haven’t cooked with grapefruit before and am intrigued by this recipe!


Mario Batali’s Chicken Thighs with Garlicky Crumbs, salad


I have tentative dinner plans for Wednesday.
