There are so many reasons to love hot pot. For one, it’s truly a customizable meal. It’s also a very communal way of eating. Vegetarians and Omnivores can share a dining experience with the help of divided pots and restaurants with vegetarian broths. And it’s such an engaging way to enjoy dinner. Cooking your own raw ingredients in a broth or two of your choice! It’s basically a choose-your-own-adventure approach to a meal! So here’s my list of the best hot pot in the Triangle!
So Hot
If I had to choose my favorite hot pot experience, So Hot would win by a hair. The quality of the ingredients are all comparable in this guide. The sweet staff and adorable robot push So Hot in the number 1 spot. That’s right. There’s a robot that you may run into and it’ll take you to your seat during busy hours. You can see the robot in action in the video embedded below.
So Hot is all-you-can-eat, and you can order by iPad! My tip is to pace yourself and not over-order. Their service is very quick and this could help with food waste. Definitely, take full advantage of their sauce bar. You can make your own sauces or use one of their sauce recipes. I like mine to have some black vinegar and garlic in it! Mmm.

Szechuan Mansion Hotpot
Szechuan Mansion Hotpot is another great option for hot pot. It’s not all-you-can-eat like the other two options listed in this guide but you’ll still have a TON of food and feel more than satisfied choosing from their packages and a la carte menus. The quality of their ingredients is impressive, including house-made meatballs! I love that they have a few boba options on their menu from their friends and neighbors, Cha House, one of my favorite bubble tea spots. They also have a sauce bar in the back, so don’t forget to peep it before you settle in to cook your choice of veggies and meats in your broths!
