I had a two hour lunch/brunch media tasting at State Fare and barely made a dent in their 65+ item menu! Their brunch will be available every Saturday and Sunday starting this weekend from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
New brunch items include Avocado Street Corn Toast and the State Fare Breakfast (biscuits, hash browns, cheddar, jam, and spicy bacon). We stacked all the things in the State Fare Breakfast to make one amazing breakfast sandwich.
If you want something sweet, how about the decadent Banana Stuffed French Toast or the XXL Griddlecake, aptly named because the stack is bigger than your face?
If still none of those options appeal to you, how about Huevos Rancheros, Poached Eggs on Crab Cakes, Big Brunch Burger, Steak and Eggs, or Fried Chicken Waffle? I’m telling you, there’s something for everyone at State Fare!
We also tried some of popular favorites from their regular lunch and dinner menus, like the Frito Pie, and the Dill Pickle Dip with house-made BBQ chips. I boxed up the dip because to waste up a drop is sinful!
What’s a brunch without booze? They have a stellar cocktail menu and a wide variety of wines and beers to help celebrate weekends with your loved ones.
Trust me, I know it’s hard to pace yourself at a place like State Fare, but you must save some room for that Red Velvet Cheesecake. I insist.
Obviously, I recommend State Fare. Check it out next time you’re in Houston!
