kō•än recently opened in Cary. If you follow me on Instagram, you already know I’m a big fan of kō•än. In addition to their creative and exciting menu, kō•än is also an oasis of intimate and sophisticated private dining options. These options include two enclosed private dining rooms (each accommodating 25-30), a bar and side lounge that can be closed off (with a beautiful living wall), and even an omakase room for the culinary adventurous that privately seats up to 30. Additionally, they have partially enclosed spaces with moving walls to get your private dining space just right.

Also located in Cary, the reputable La Farm Bakery expanded for the purpose of opening a private room. It’s a very flexible space that can seat up to 25 people. The room is rustic and gorgeous, just like their menu. Your dinner companions will be in good hands when you dine at La Farm. James Beard-nominated Chef Lionel Vatinet knows his way around the world of bread. Check out his aptly named book, A Passion for Bread: Lessons from a Master Baker.

I love Chef Sean Fowler’s fresh approach to Southern food. He sources his ingredients from North Carolina farmers and also has small farm himself. (Not to brag, but I got to meet one of his goats!) His restaurant, Mandolin, has a private dining space with a bright modern farmhouse aesthetic. It accommodates up to 24 seated guests and 30 guests for a standing cocktail reception.
