A Crepe Night In

They say staying in is boring and mundane. As someone who is often out and about, I really cherish my nights in. You can always spruce it up by inviting your girls over, cooking, drinking, or, you can have a crepe making night! I have an easy batter recipe I got from Paula Deen and blogged about here (ingredients: 1 egg, 1 egg yolk, a cup of flour, 2 cups of milk, a pinch of salt, and a dash of Vanilla extract.) All you have to do is bring the fillings you want. Last week, a couple of girlfriends and I had a memorable night in that started off with the making of these crepes. We didn’t even have to buy anything and just used what we had lying around. I love making these crepes because buying them can cost you any where between 4 to 8 dollars a serving, depending on where you go. Whereas, we spent nothing!

It’s fun to make these at home with a group a people and the more toppings the better.

  • Oh my goodness, I looooove crepes with nutella! And with homemade (not by me, ha!) strawberry jam! And will apples and caramel and cinnamon. And with basically anything except bananas because GROSS. I hate bananas. :-P I’ll definitely have to try to make my own sometime!

TOTALLY. :) exactly how we did it.

      Tabitha,
I love finding out friends’ food quirks. You don’t like bananas?! I guess it was an acquired taste for me. I like banana flavored candy. Ha :) And raw bananas are only good with chocolate or in smoothies. I still haven’t developed a taste for raw bananas on their own.
