I had a lot of fun on Saturday oohing and ahhing over the impressive cakes at That Takes the Cake. It was my third consecutive year attending and second year judging the tasting competition, and this event never fails to amaze me. The talent showcased is awe inspiring! I will post a few Wordless Wednesday posts with snapshots of some of these beautiful cakes. For now though, I thought I’d share with you what I thought was the most impressive cake I’ve seen there this weekend.
The cake was a revolving tiered cake “revolving” around hats worn by leading ladies in a few iconic movies. Think Pretty Woman and Breakfast at Tiffany’s to name a couple. Here are a few snapshots and a video I took. I was going to spare you the background audio but left it in there since I caught myself mentioning my boyfriend, Ryan Gosling.
